I am capable to come up with ideas quite easily, and quite experimental in my work; but reently have been following a pattern of comparing the contrasts of two different worlds, for example my AS coursework - a sanctuary and the outside world. The outside world is displayed as uninviting through rigid geometric shapes, whereas the sanctuary is displayed through organic patterns. I like all work of Jackson Pollock, Ian Davenport, Cy Twombly, Morris Louis, and other abstract artists, mainly from the Abstract Expressionism movement of the '30s - '50s.
