WAL*ART is proud to present " Been Here. Did This", the first show in many years by renowned graphic artist Mick Haggerty. The exhibition runs from November 21st to December 6th, 2009.Known for his seminal images on album covers and groundbreaking illustration, Haggerty has recently spent long periods in South Africa. Haggerty explains, "far away from my studio, I started to fill sketch books with small automatic drawings of heads. Born out of frustration and a limitation of means, without intention or idea, they just seemed to appear on the page, these strange characters from nowhere who I was meeting for the first time. The work in this show grew from those meetings." The exhibition includes over twenty prints, several paintings and two new books done in Africa.
