Summer Art Exhibition

Artists from China, Japan, Korea, Myanmar and Hong Kong, express and portray their inner world in contrasting mediums - reflecting the variation of talents created by upbringing and cultures. The works are attractive talking points, capturing beautiful matching colours, fine detail and approaching life with zest and creativity.Liu Ping Is a new generation woman who mainly uses ink and acrylic to paint contemporary portraits of Chinese women with mystic eyes – Wang Xi on the other hand is concerned with environmental issues which are reflected in his oil paintings – they both obtained their Masters of Art from Sichuan Fine Art Institute. Charito Helgason, nicknamed Kimmi is currently based in Canada - she paints fresh contemporary abstract. Hong Kong’s Cheri Yeung works will include her latest abstract paintings.Sculptures works by He Li Ping and Chen Xiang, Modern photographic pieces by Ben McMillan - Beijing and Nancy Lee – Holland. Contemporary, clean and attractive paintings by Tomoya Yamaguchi– Japan and Kim Tae Huk – Korea. Myanmar artists will include Aye Nyein Miyint Khin Zaw Latt, Nan Nan and Moe Nyo. Our annual summer art exhibition will be an exciting mix of visual art mediums by artist of different races and backgroundA photograph exhibition will run in parallel on the 3rd Floor of The Landmark during the months of July and August.Exhibition dates : Thursday 3rd June - 31st August 2010 – 10.30am to 7.00pm daily
